On Saturday 6th July 2024, Heritage Malta is inviting young explorers aged between 5 and 7 years, to set sail on a thrilling adventure at Gozo’s prestigious Citadel museums.

In a unique treasure hunt, entitled ‘Treasures from Under the Sea’, participants will enjoy an hour of engaging exploration and discovery within the confines of the Nature Museum, Archaeology Museum, and Old Prison.

Groups of five will embark on their quest at set start times – 09:30am, 10:00am, and 10:30am, to ensure a smooth and interactive experience. This structure not only prevents overlap and congestion but also enhances each child’s engagement with the mysteries awaiting them.

Children will follow a series of clues, each one intricately tied to elements of maritime history and the environment. As they journey through the museums, they will encounter a variety of artefacts from beneath the waves: ancient anchors, amphorae, and even graffiti, each piece offering a window into Malta’s vibrant maritime past.

This isn’t just a treasure hunt—it’s an immersive journey designed to spark curiosity and instill a deeper appreciation for the role of the sea in shaping Malta’s history. As they uncover hidden treasures and decipher the stories embedded in each exhibit, the children will not only learn about their heritage but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Don’t let your little explorers miss out on this captivating maritime adventure. Book your tickets now on Store – Heritage Malta or from any of our museums and sites.

Please note that an adult should accompany the child throughout the event.
