Join us for ‘Flavours of Malta and Gozo – Exploring Maltese Culinary Heritage’, a unique cooking course at the historic Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu, headed by qualified museum educators.

This session brings to the limelight the various influences which have shaped our identity. Amongst many other things, this is also reflected in our culinary habits. Without too much effort, it is easy to picture this. Cannoli, typically filled with ricotta, are extremely popular in Sicily, to the extent that in mainland Italy they are referred to as cannoli Siciliani. On the other hand, despite its name, Swiss roll is favoured throughout Europe and probably became popular in Malta during British rule. Both were adopted and given a local twist to reflect Malta’s historic role as an island at the crossroads of so many influences.

This is perfect for anyone wishing to deepen their understanding of Maltese culinary traditions in a practical, enjoyable way.

Limited places are available; therefore, we encourage you to book early at any of our museums and sites or online on store in order to secure your spot in this exclusive experience at the Inquisitor’s Palace.

Please Note: Tickets will be on sale shortly. Keep your eyes peeled!
