Ahoy! We are setting sail.

Calling for young crew members (7 years and upwards) to join us on an adventurous expedition into the past, with ‘A Pirate’s Life’ at the Malta Maritime Museum, on Friday 12th July 2024.

This unique event, led by Senior Curator Liam Gauci, offers children and their accompanying adults a fascinating glimpse into the life of a Maltese boy who rose through the ranks to become a fearsome pirate.

During this activity, participants will explore the real-life world of piracy through direct interaction with authentic artifacts that once belonged to actual pirates. They will get hands-on experience with items that tell the story of daring raids and maritime adventures, making history come alive in a way that’s both educational and thrilling.

To ensure a focused and intimate experience, each session is limited to just 10 participants. Additionally, each child must be accompanied by one adult, who will receive a complimentary glass of wine, helping them enjoy the museum more while the children dive deep into the pirate’s life. There will be two sessions, one in Maltese at 18:00 and another in English at 19:00.

Book your tickets early online on Store – Heritage Malta or from any of our museums and sites, to guarantee your spot on this exciting historical adventure, as space is very limited and expected to fill up quickly!

Please note that an adult should accompany the child throughout the event.
