One for the history-loving foodies!
On the 18th or 21st of March, Heritage Malta is inviting you to head to the beautiful Inquisitor’s Palace in the heart of Birgu, to learn more about the deep significance of Lent and Holy Week, and to concoct your own Lenten delicacy in this historic setting.
Offered either in Maltese on the 18th or in English on the 21st, between 18:00 and 20:00, this unique event promises an evening steeped in Maltese tradition, with a perfect historic backdrop which lets the mind flow and wander in centuries gone by.
Participants will first explore the intricate traditions and historical aspects of Holy Week in Malta, with an exclusive guided tour of the Holy Week display at the Palace, delving deep into its profound cultural significance.
After that, it’s cooking time! Participants will craft traditional Maltese spinach and anchovy qassatat, allowing them a taste of the essence of Malta and a piece of its rich cultural tapestry.
This enriching journey is designed exclusively for participants aged 18 and over, offering a blend of cultural insight and culinary expertise.
