The captivating history of the Neolithic remains of Kordin III may be explored by the public during a morning of guided tours organised by Heritage Malta on Sunday 26th February.

Four guided tours will be held – two in Maltese at 9.00am and 10.30am, and two in English at 9.45am and 11.15am. Since places are limited, participants need to pre-book their tickets from any Heritage Malta site or museum, or online on http://heritagemalta.org/store. Tickets cost €3 but Heritage Malta members will be admitted at the reduced price of €1.

The area of Corradino, or Kordin, intrinsically associated with the Grand Harbour, must have been a significant area in prehistory, as attested by the concentration of megalithic remains discovered there in the 19th and 20th centuries. Most of these finds have disappeared over the years due to military, and later industrial, development in the area, but Kordin III stands as testimony to this rich heritage.

This megalithic site was constructed over various phases of the Neolithic period and includes features which are not found in other contemporary Neolithic buildings. The site is not usually open to the public and the opportunity to visit it as part of a guided tour is not to be missed.

Kordin III is located just outside the Corradino Lines, between the Church of St Anthony of Padua and the MCAST College in Paola. For more information, visit https://heritagemalta.mt/explore/kordin-iii/.
