Heritage Malta?s National Museum of Fine Arts will be hosting an evening of classical and jazz music within the recently restored main courtyard of the museum, as part of the Violin and Friends International Musical Festival, Malta.?Oboe, violin and cello play A. Piazzolla, E.Herse, S. Jopin, J. Haydn, JS Bach and ?Dalacarlia? Folksongs from Sweden.

“Violin and Friends International? is an International Music Festival composed of internationally acclaimed musicians performing well known pieces of classical, romantic and jazz music. It has been set up with the intention of providing performances and coaching aimed at music lovers. Internationally acclaimed musicians from Malta and overseas are going to be performed at several localities in Malta including St. Aloysius College, the Manoel Theatre, and the National Museum of Fine Arts.

One of the objectives of the International Music Festival is to offer a professional and expandable platform for new music and to showcase its origins and pioneers. It also aims to support young musicians by making it possible for them to present their output to a wider audience.

The National Museum of Fine Arts seeks to organize similar activities in order to become more accessible to the general public. Tickets for this event are available from all Heritage Malta museums and sites at 8 Euros per persons and 7 Euros for all Heritage Malta members and Friends of the NMFA.?This event will be held on Thursday the 23rd of June at 20.45hrs.
