Heritage Malta is inviting the public for an adventurous evening at Għar Dalam which will include a guided tour of the oldest prehistoric site in Malta and a visit to Ta’ Kaċċatura where one finds a Roman villa and cistern, a number of cart ruts and tombs all set in a very tranquil environment.
Following this tour, the participants will be able to enjoy Maltese food including rabbit pies which on this eve were traditionally eaten at Buskett Gardens in Rabat, where many Maltese congregate to celebrate the feast of Saint Peter and St Paul, known as Mnarja. Participants can then opt to sleep on site either under the stars or inside the museum. In the morning, a light breakfast will be served.
This activity is suitable for all the family and is an ideal way to end a week in total relaxation in the cool natural ambience of the intriguing environs while socialising and making new friends.
Those taking part are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sleeping bag, blanket or a small tent with them.
The event will start on Friday 28th June at 18.30hrs and end on Saturday morning at 8.00hrs.
Price: €25 for adults, €20 senior citizens & students, and €15 children & Heritage Malta members.
Tickets are available from all Heritage Malta museums and sites, and ONLINE.
