European Archaeology Days: Summer Solstice at Mnajdra and Ħaġar Qim Temples

Mnajdra Summer Solstice Tour

You are invited to experience the Summer Solstice sunrise at Mnajdra on the 19^th, 20th and 21^st of June. This experience will include a guided tour of Mnajdra where visitors will view the first rays of the rising sun light up a particular point in the South building just as it has done on the first day of summer for over 5000 years. The tickets can be purchased from all Heritage Malta sites and museums and from the Heritage Malta website. Limited places are available due to Covid-19 regulations.

Summer Solstice Sunrise at Ħaġar Qim

You are invited to experience the Summer Solstice at Ħaġar Qim on the 20^th and 21^st of June. Participants will be given a guided tour of Ħaġar Qim, which will include seeing the first rays of the rising sun entering the Neolithic building through an elliptical hole in the monumental walls.

Tickets can be purchased from all Heritage Malta sites and museums and from Heritage Malta’s website. Limited places are available due to Covid-19 regulations.
