Heritage Malta is inviting teens to step back in time and into the world of scientific discovery with ‘Saltwater Sorcery: Transforming Seawater into Freshwater’, a unique workshop taking place at the magnificent Fort St Angelo in Birgu.

This event is scheduled for Friday 26th July 2024, starting at 10:30 am. It offers an immersive learning experience which will focus on the process of distillation—a technique historically used by the British at this very site to purify seawater.

Participants will engage in a hands-on activity that explores the transformation of seawater into freshwater through distillation, learning how to extract salt and purify water.

This educational session is perfect for sparking curiosity about environmental science and maritime history, fostering critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the vital role that water purification plays in our world.

With only 15 spots available, this workshop provides a focused and engaging educational environment, ensuring each participant receives a comprehensive and memorable experience. Book your ticket now on Store – Heritage Malta or from any of our museums and sites. Don’t miss the chance to transform the way you see the ocean’s resources!

Please note that an adult should accompany the child throughout the event.
