On the occasion of International Museum Day, Heritage Malta will be providing complimentary entrance to three of its top Valletta sites. Make a day out of it in the capital on Thursday the 18th of May, and visit the National Museum of Archaeology, Fort St Elmo and MUŻA without spending a single cent! For those looking to really get the most out of their visit, pre-book a free tour and delve even deeper into the rich history and stories behind these multi-faceted museums.

This year’s International Museum Day theme is “Museums, Sustainability and Well-being,” and we’re proud to showcase how museums can contribute to Sustainable Development Goals, including supporting climate action, promoting inclusivity, tackling social isolation, and improving mental health. As mirrors of national identity and key contributors to the well-being of communities, we believe in using our museums to make a positive impact on society.

To make the most of this fantastic opportunity, there will be two tours available at each site, one at 11:00 am in Maltese and another at 14:00 in English. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to explore some of Valletta’s top museums for free!

Tour tickets are available from any HM museum and site, or online here. Normal museum opening hours apply (10:00-18:00, last admission 17:30).

Join us for a day of fun, culture, and history – we can’t wait to see you there!
