Curator’s Tour: Fort St Elmo during the Great Siege

On Saturday 16th March, Heritage Malta is inviting you to join a journey through one of the most epic battles ever fought on Maltese ground, the Great Siege of Malta.

Immerse yourself in the gripping tale of this polarised fight to the death between the two rival Mediterranean superpowers of the time, with a curator’s tour in one of the battles’ protagonists; Fort St Elmo. running from 10:00 to 11:30.

This captivating guided tour explores the epic stories that transpired between 25 May and 23 June of 1565, revealing the fort’s resilience against gruesome Ottoman attacks until its eventual capture. The narrated story will illuminate various spaces within the stronghold, some dating back to the time of the siege.

This tour is in English and is open to all ages. Prices are as follows: Adults €15, Seniors & Students €12, and Children €10.

Tickets will be available for purchase from any Heritage Malta museum and site, and online on heritagemalta.mt/store nearer to the date of the event.
