Learn about the flora and fauna of this picturesque isle and visit numerous archaeological and historical sites that are steeped in history. Our knowledgeable guides will share intriguing anecdotes about the island’s past as you walk past the charming Santa Marija Bay chapel, the commanding battery and redoubt that overlooks the Malta Channel, the iconic Santa Marija Tower, the old bakery, and the historic Lazaretto or quarantine hospital.
Itinerary:
09:00 – Meeting point next to Ċirkewwa Cafe kiosk, at Ċirkewwa harbour.
09:30 – Leave by boat to Comino
10:00 – Arrival on Comino and guided tours commence
12:30 – Break
15:00 – Departure back to Cirkewwa
Please Note:
This is a moderate walk on rough terrain. Don’t forget to bring appropriate walking footwear, sun protection, and your own food and drinks. Entrance to St Mary’s Tower, which is managed by Din l-Art Ħelwa, is by donation, and Heritage Malta members will need to present their membership card at boarding.
