Christmas at the Fort

Join us at Fort St Elmo for a wonderful Christmas experience!

On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December 2023, the main areas at Fort St Elmo will be transformed into a unique Christmas village!

An innovative family-oriented event featuring:

• Christmas-related cakes and other traditional delicacies such as mulled wine, imbuljuta, roasted chestnuts, date-filled pastries, and honey rings
• Meet and greet Santa (children can also write and post a letter to Santa)
• Free gifts for all children attending
• Maltese folk songs with a Christmas theme
• An interactive kids area with several games and cooking sessions
• Variety show with choir singing
• Crib exhibition
• Artisans’ stands
• And much more

We’ve also taken the headache out of your parking by providing a free shuttle service from Floriana Park ‘n Ride to St Elmo, thanks to Malta Public Transport. The shuttle service is scheduled to depart from the Ditch Park and Ride, with a stop at the Temporary Bus Stop located in front of the Evan’s Building near St. Elmo’s Fort.

The details for the service are as follows:

Saturday, 2nd December:

• Operating hours: 18:00 to 23:00
• Bus frequency: Every 30 minutes
• Departing from Floriana P&R: 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30, 22:00, 22:30
• Departing from St Elmo: 18:15, 18:45, 19:15, 19:45, 20:15, 20:45, 21:15, 21:45, 22:15, 22:45

Sunday, 3rd December:

• Operating hours: 10:00 to 20:00
• Bus frequency: Every 30 minutes
• Departing from Floriana P&R: 10:00 to 22:30
• Departing from St Elmo: 10:15 to 22:45

For the convenience of passengers, we kindly request that you park within the designated ditch area and proceed to board the shuttle service near the entrance gate of the Floriana Park and Ride. Additionally, a temporary bus stop will be established near the St. Elmo gate for passengers to alight or board.
