  • The Malta Knights vs Ottoman Empire - Chess board set.
  • The Great Siege of Malta (L-Assedju l-Kbir) occurred in 1565 when the Ottoman Empire attempted to conquer the island of Malta, then held by the Knights Hospitaller. The siege lasted nearly four months, from 18 May to 11 September 1565.

 

  • The chess board is made of Clear 10mm acrylic board which is engraved with the Knights cross and Turkish design. All the figures are also engraved and cut in 5mm acrylic and on the base of each figure there is the name of the figure. The chess board is packed in a gift box and inside the box there are two leaflets in 4 languages. One leaflet gives some information about the Great Siege of Malta and the other leaflet gives an explanation of the figures in the chess and the rules and regulations about the chess game. The size of the box is 35x35x6cm.
