28/9 – Behind Closed Doors: Church of Our Lady of the Pillar

Heritage Malta is offering an exclusive opportunity for its members to step inside the Chapel of Our Lady of the Pillar in Valletta, on Saturday 28th September.

From 10:00 am to 11:00 am, participating members will enjoy a guided tour around the High Baroque splendour of this unique historical chapel which is usually open only by appointment.

This intimate tour will explore the architectural genius of Romano Carapecchia, with detailed explanations of the various symbols and features that make this chapel a masterpiece. Starting from the stunning facade and moving through to the sacristy, attendees will uncover the rich history of the chapel, erected in the 1670s as a place of worship for knights and evolving over the centuries to serve the community in different capacities.

The tour is free and strictly reserved for Heritage Malta members.
