On Sunday, 9th June, Heritage Malta is organising an Open Day at the National Museum of Natural History in Mdina where the public is invited to visit the museum and enjoy the activities taking place on the day.
At 10.00am, Heritage Malta Senior Curator John J Borg will deliver an hour-long public lecture, ‘The History of the Natural History Museum’. The lecture will be followed by a tour of the Insect and Plant Collections. This tour will be reserved for the first 20 persons who will collect their tickets from the museum’s reception.
At noon and at 3.00pm, the public can participate in the thematic educational and crafts activity ‘ARTi u Baħar’. This activity will complement the exhibition about marine life in the museum’s Activity Hall.
The Open Day will also include a behind-the-scenes tour of the biological collections at 2.00pm. This tour will be reserved for the first 20 persons who will collect their tickets from the museum’s reception.
Admission is free of charge.
Time: 09.00am to 5.00pm (last admission 4.30pm)
