Heritage Malta will once again be offering a unique experience to a limited number of people. This time the agency will be organizing a heritage trail at dusk within the magnificent Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park on Friday 19th July.
The exceptional world heritage site will serve as a unique backdrop while curators and experts within the field will discuss the archaeological remains and highlight the natural features surrounding the temples.
This event will give a rare opportunity to those present to explore and understand these sites in more detail, with the area free from the large number of visitors usually present during the day, while enjoying the beautiful sunset over the temples and the nearby island of Filfla.
Apart from tours of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, the heritage trail will also include an informative visit to the Misqa Tanks, the Congreve Memorial and the nearby Ħamrija Tower.
The sunset tour starts at 19.00hrs, with the car park outside the temples being the meeting point for those attending 15 minutes before. Tickets at €12 for adults and €10 for children under the age of 12 can be purchased from all Heritage Malta sites and museums prior to the event.
