Heritage Malta exploring collaboration with Qatar’s cultural entities

Heritage Malta Chairman Mario Cutajar and CEO Noel Zammit are currently part of a delegation accompanying HE the President of Malta, George Vella, on a state visit to Qatar.

Heritage Malta’s representatives are exploring collaboration initiatives with cultural entities such as the Qatar National Library, the Qatar National Museum and the Katara Cultural Village, amongst others. There is ample potential of mutual benefit that may be utilized, particularly through MoUs between Heritage Malta and Qatar cultural entities to organize events and exhibitions that further cultural diplomacy between both countries. Moreover, both parties will explore possibilities to exchange expertise in curatorship, conservation, digitization and ICT, amongst others. The visit is an important landmark that gives a strong impetus to cultural relations between the two countries.
