Heritage Malta will be opening two of its sites for free to the general public on Monday 19th of March, a public holiday. The sites included in this open day are G?ar Dalam in Birzebbuga, and the Domvs Romana in Rabat, which on the day will also be celebrating the Feast of St Joseph.

Apart from free admission to these sites, visitors will also have the opportunity to particiate in free tours of the sites. Tours of G?ar Dalam will be conducted by an actor interpreting the historical figure of Giuseppe Despott, an early 20th century natural scientist and the first museum curator of Natural History in Malta, and of G?ar Dalam. Tours start at 11.00hrs, 13.00hrs, and 15.00hrs. At the Domvs Romana, tours in Maltese will commence at 10.30hrs and 14.30hrs.

During this event, members of the general public will also have the opportunity to join and become a member of Heritage Malta at a discounted rate. Membership benefits include the possibility of visiting all of Heritage Malta’s sites for free, execpt for the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, for which tickets are available at a discount of 50% on the normal ticketing price. Additionally, throughout the year, Heritage Malta organises special events specifically for members.
