Step inside a world of secrets, power, and mystery at the Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu. On Saturday, 29th November, young explorers aged seven and above are invited to journey through one of Malta’s most intriguing historical buildings and uncover the stories about the Inquisitors and the Roman Inquisition.

As they move through sophisticated spaces, shadowed corridors and rock-cut cells, children will learn what life was like at the time of the Inquisitors, discover how the Inquisition in Malta differed from the Spanish one, and hear about curious customs such as the ‘giorni di grasso’ and ‘giorni di magro’. It’s a rare chance to explore a chapter of history in the very place where it happened.

Two tours will take place on the day – the first in English from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, followed by another one in Maltese from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Each ticket includes admission for one accompanying adult and can be purchased online or from any Heritage Malta museum or site.
