Time to get crafty!
On Wednesday 27th August at 16:30, we invite children aged 7-11 to explore Maltese cultural identity through a fun collage-making workshop at the Grand Master’s Palace in Valletta.
Using symbols, images, and text from local magazines and newspapers, participants in this workshop will design personal mood boards that reflect their heritage and connection to their community.
Just like cultures emerge and evolve through the junction of beliefs, behaviours, and practices, collage art assembles different elements together to bring forth a new creation.
Children will reflect on the meaning behind traditional crafts, local landmarks, flora, fauna, and everyday life. This hands-on workshop encourages creativity and critical thinking about what defines our collective and personal identities.
Tickets are just €10 (or €8 for Heritage Malta Members) and include entry for one accompanying adult. Book online on Store – Heritage Malta or visit any Heritage Malta site to reserve your spot.
The event lasts 1hr and 30mins.
Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
Ages given are just a suggestion – this event can be enjoyed by students who are 2 years younger or older.
This activity forms part of Heritage Malta’s Student Passport Summer Programme 2025.
