Malta Biennale ’26

Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the Malta Art Biennale is back and will take place from March 11 to May 29, 2026.

Themed CLEAN | CLEAR | CUT, the Malta Biennale 2026 will unfold across historic sites and museums in Valletta, Vittoriosa and Gozo, transforming them into stages for artistic creations and expressions. An initiative of Heritage Malta, the second edition of this contemporary art platform will be held under the helm of artistic director and international curator, Rosa Martínez. 

This year’s Biennale will feature as many as 28 national and thematic pavilions, doubling the number of participating pavilions from the first edition. The pavilions will feature a mixture of art forms, from two- and three-dimensional art to installations, to performance art and live action work.
