The Ġgantija Archaeological Park is a unique prehistoric monument situated at the centre of an extraordinary archaeological landscape, the Xagħra plateau on the island of Gozo. It consists of two structures built between c.3600 and c.3200 BC, and it was the first of the megalithic monuments on the Maltese Islands to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As part of the Jum Ix-Xagħra celebrations, on Sunday 30th April Heritage Malta will be offering a day of free entrance to all Xagħra residents to Ġgantija and Ta’ Kola Windmill upon presentation of ID card. Tickets available only at the door.

To make this day even more special, especially in the context of this year’s 10 year anniversary since the opening of the Ġgantija Interpretation Centre, Heritage Malta will be offering two exclusive evening tours – one in Maltese and another one in English, taking place simultaneously at 18:30 hrs, for which pre-booking is required.

Tickets cost €10 for the general public, and €8 for Heritage Malta members, available for purchase from all our museums and sites and online below:

EN – Ġgantija Evening Tour

MT – Ġgantija Evening Tour

After each tour, participants will be treated to a glass of prosecco and some nibbles whilst enjoying the view of the megalithic site at sunset.
