On Tuesday, 10 February 2026, Heritage Malta invites you to the normally closed historic site of San Pawl Milqi in Burmarrad. This special event commemorates St Paul’s arrival in Malta, a pivotal moment in Maltese history, through a celebratory Mass and exclusive guided tours.

The site is traditionally believed to be the location where Publius, the island’s Protos, welcomed and hosted St Paul during his stay in circa AD 60. Visitors are invited to explore this sacred and historic site while engaging with Malta’s rich heritage and enduring traditions.

The programme includes a Mass, celebrated in Maltese at 10:00 am in the site’s chapel. Two guided tours will also take place: one in Maltese at 9:00 am and another in English at 11:00 am. These tours will explore the site’s layered history, from its agricultural use during the Punic, Roman, and Arab periods to its enduring significance in Maltese religious tradition.

The event is open to all ages, with each guided tour limited to a maximum of 25 participants to ensure an enjoyable experience. This is a rare opportunity to visit one of Malta’s most iconic historic landmarks.

Secure your spot by pre-booking online or from any of our museums and sites. Spaces are limited!
