L-Għabex

Fl-attività bl-isem ‘L-Għabex’, is-Sibt 26 ta’ April 2025, il-parteċipanti se jgawdu mixja gwidata f’ambjent storiku u naturali  waqt inżul ix-xemx. L-attività se ssir bil-Malti u bl-Ingliż u l-postijiet huma limitati.  Niltagħqu fejn iċ-Ċentru tal-Viżitaturi fil-5:45pm biex nibdew din il-mixja fis-6:00pm. L-avveniment jispiċċa għad-9:30pm.

Tul il-lejla, il-parteċipanti jżuru diversi siti storiċi ewlenin fil-Park Arkeoloġiku ta’ Ħaġar Qim u l-Imnajdra fi żjarat immexxija minn kuraturi esperti. Dawn iż-żjarat jinkludu Ħaġar Qim, l-Imnajdra, it-Torri tal-Ħamrija, il-Mafkar ta’ Congreve, u l-Misqa. Waqt dawn iż-żjarat se jiġi diskuss kif żviluppa l-pajsaġġ tal-Park matul il-medda taż-żminijiet. Il-mixja tieħu lill-parteċipanti fuq vjaġġ ta’ skoperta b’atmosfera li ssir aktar speċjali hekk kif ix-xemx tinżel u l-ambjent jieħu l-ħajja f’dawl ġdid.

Wara l-esperjenza ta’ dawn iż-żjarat, il-parteċipanti jirritornaw fiċ-Ċentru tal-Viżitaturi, fejn se jiġi servut ikel tradizzjonali Malti u jkun hemm ħin għal interazzjoni soċjali. Sabiex l-attività tkun komda u pjaċevoli, nissuġġerixxu li l-parteċipanti jġibu magħhom flixkun ilma, torċ u jilbsu żarbun adattat għall-mixi. Din hija opportunità unika biex wieħed jesplora u japprezza s-sbuħija tal-Park f’ħin speċjali tal-jum, waqt li jiskopri l-istorja u l-wirt kulturali tiegħu b’mod mill-aktar immersiv.

L-Għabex – Sunset Tour

L-Għabex, taking place on Saturday 26th April 2025, offers participants a guided walk through a historical and natural setting during sunset. The event will be conducted in Maltese and English and places are limited. The meeting point will be at the Visitor Centre at 5:45 PM. The event will start at 6:00pm and will conclude at around 9:30pm.

Throughout the evening, participants will visit several key historical sites within the Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Archaeological Park through guided tours led by expert curators. These tours include Ħaġar Qim, Mnajdra, the Ħamrija Tower, the Congreve Memorial, and the Misqa Tanks. During the walk, discussions will focus on how the landscape of the park developed through the ages. The walk takes participants on a journey of discovery, with a special atmosphere as the sun sets and the surroundings take on a new life.

Following these visits, participants will return to the Visitor Centre, where traditional Maltese food will be served, allowing time for social interaction. To ensure comfort throughout the tour, it is recommended that participants bring a bottle of water, a torch, and wear comfortable walking shoes. This is a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate the beauty of the Park at a magical time of day while discovering its history and cultural heritage in an immersive way.
