Fortifications Harbour Cruise

Heritage Malta is offering all cultural heritage and sea lovers a relaxing but yet educational evening by organising the Fortifications Harbour Cruise. This event includes a guided tour of the harbour area by boat, taking those present into the various creeks around the Grand Harbour and Marsamxett, such as French Creek, Marsa Creek and the Lazaretto. The cruise boat will set sail from Sliema Ferries (Luzzu Cruises Point) at 1830hrs. During the harbour cruise, special focus will be made on the history of the fortifications built by the Knights of St John and by the British during and after World War II.

Price: €17 adults, €10 Heritage Malta members, €15 seniors and students, and €10 children. Heritage Malta members will be asked to present their HM membership card on the day.

PLEASE NOTE: According to new directives issued by the Superintendence of Public Health on the 5th of July, all those who wish to join this tour must present a Vaccine Certificate (preferably a digital version). Those not in possession of a Vaccine Certificate, including children aged 5-11 years old and pregnant persons, must present a negative rapid test result done within 24 hours or a negative PCR within 72 hours from the start of the event. Children under the age of 5 years need not present a test result as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian who is in possession of a valid COVID-19 vaccine certificate. All participants must also present their Identity Card or Passport.
