  • Issue 9 has two conservation articles, namely on two oval paintings by Gio Nicola Buhagiar and the unique Cappella Ardente at St John’s Co-Cathedral. It includes Part 2 of a 3-part on the ornithological importance of Il-Ballut ta’ Marsaxlokk, ecclesiastical reliquaries as cultural heritage, a feature on the NMNH Entomology Collections, two rainwater harvesting systems of note, a 1735 Gentleman’s Magazine featuring a traveller’s account of the Maltese islands and an interview with Maroma Camilleri. The short themes include new works of Art additions to the National Collection, an eyewitness account of WWII battles from Heritage Malta’s Archive, the preservation of skeletons and a review of the exhibition catalogue titled Kulħadd għall-Belt.
