Heritage Malta will be organising a Heritage Trail within the magnificent Ħaġar Qim & Mnajdra Archaeological Park in Qrendi.

HAGAR QIM PARKsunset poster ECurators and experts within the field will be available on site to discuss the archaeological remains and highlight the natural features surrounding the temples that last year alone attracted nearly 150,000 visitors.

This event, organised by Heritage Malta, will be giving the rare opportunity to those present to explore and understand these sites in more detail, especially since the area will be void of the large number of visitors usually present during the day. Apart from tours of the two main archaeological sites of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Temples, the heritage trail will also include informative visits to the Misqa Tanks, the Congreve Memorial and the nearby Ħamrija Tower.

At the end of the tour refreshments will be served at the Ħaġar Qim & Mnajdra Visitors Centre.

This Heritage Trail will be held on Friday 11th July 2014. Participants are to meet with a Heritage Malta representative at the Ħaġar Qim car parking area at 18:00hrs.

Tickets for this event can be purchased from all of Heritage Malta’s sites and museums. For more information one may call on 23954242.
