Heritage Malta’s TED Unit Achieves ISO Certification For Fourth Consecutive Year

Heritage Malta’s Technology and Experience Development (TED) Unit has once again been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking the fourth consecutive year of recognition for its unwavering commitment to excellence, efficiency, and innovation.

This internationally recognised standard underscores the TED Unit’s dedication to delivering high-quality digitisation and experience development services that safeguard and promote Malta’s rich cultural heritage. Through the integration of cutting-edge technology and rigorous processes, the unit ensures that both tangible and intangible heritage is preserved, documented, and made accessible for future generations.

The TED Unit brings together the expertise of the Information Technology (IT), Experience Development, and Digitisation Departments. Its scope includes the digitisation of the national collection, the implementation of digital outreach and accessibility policies, and the creation of immersive visitor experiences across Heritage Malta’s museums and sites. As from this year, Heritage Malta has also been certified as the National Aggregator for Malta with Europeana, contributing to the pan-European digital platform that shares cultural heritage with millions of users worldwide.

This achievement further strengthens Heritage Malta’s position as a leader in cultural heritage management and innovation, both locally and internationally. The ISO certification also reflects the agency’s ongoing commitment to enhancing internal processes, ensuring quality service delivery, and improving visitor satisfaction.
