Heritage Malta proudly participated in the 10th General Assembly of the Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNet) held at Katara, joining delegations from 21 countries in a series of cultural and media-focused engagements. Heritage Malta officially became a member of this esteemed network in 2023, marking its commitment to fostering cultural diplomacy and international collaboration.

The General Assembly featured a pivotal workshop titled “The Impact of Media: Building Positive Environments for a Shared Global Future,” held in collaboration with GPDNet. The workshop provided a platform for global media professionals to discuss the evolving role of media in public diplomacy. Topics included audience engagement strategies, cultural sensitivities, and the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in expanding GPDNet’s media presence.

Heritage Malta’s International Relations Manager, Mr. Russell Muscat, stated that: “The agency’s involvement in these discussions highlights its commitment to leveraging media and digital platforms to enhance cultural communication and international outreach. By actively participating in such initiatives, Heritage Malta continues to contribute to global efforts aimed at strengthening cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation.”

Heritage Malta looks forward to further engagements within GPDNet, fostering cultural exchanges, and strengthening Malta’s presence in the global cultural diplomacy landscape.

The General Assembly also witnessed the unanimous re-election of Qatar as President of GPDNet for a third term (2025-2028).
