Press Release – 25 March 2025

Eleven Heritage Malta employees who hold headship or managerial positions within the agency were awarded certificates
following their successful completion of an undergraduate course in leadership skills at MCAST.

The course, held between January and September 2024, delved into such topics as business management, effective
communication at the workplace, emotional intelligence and control, people management skills, leadership, conflict
management, time management, decision-making strategies, and project management.

The eleven employees are currently Heads, Senior Managers, Managers, Assistant Managers, and Senior Curators in their
respective fields. They are now better equipped to apply appropriate leadership styles to accomplish the agency’s goals,
implement project management concepts in a range of tasks, and make informed and logical decisions on work-related
issues.

Heritage Malta’s Chief Executive Officer, Noel Zammit, who distributed the certificates, said that the agency invests heavily in
technology, new acquisitions, and extensive restoration projects but its greatest investment lies in its employees, as attested
by this learning opportunity. Such opportunities, he said, empower employees to reach their full personal and professional
potential, create greater job satisfaction, and help the agency itself to continue achieving its goals successfully
