The Ministry for National Heritage, Arts and Local Government has launched online applications to enable professionals working in the field of conservation and restoration to obtain formal recognition through a warrant issued by the Restoration Warrant Board.
This warrant aims to legally regulate works related to activities that fall under to the profession of conservators and restaurateurs, as stipulated in the Cultural Heritage Act, Chapter 445.
“It is important for professionals who care for the conservation and restoration of our country’s heritage to do so with integrity under the protection of the law to ensure that the required standards are maintained” Minister José Herrera said.
Those who, pursuant to section 29 of the cultural heritage law, qualify for this warrant to practice the profession of conservator-restorers, may find more information here.
