A concert and project presentation for ‘GħaNasori: Unity in Diversity’, a fascinating project by Fiorella Camilleri, (sub-principal flute and piccolo player with the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra), bringing together the
traditional Maltese Għana and the Japanese imperial court dance known as Nasori. The concert will delve into performances of Għana tal-Fatt, Għana fil-Għoli, Makjetta, Botta u Risposta and Nasori, and will be complimented by a final infusion of Għana and Nasori.

Music will be complimented by brief presentations by Director of Culture Ms Catherine Tabone on Malta’s Intangible Culture Heritage and its ratification process for UNESCO, Dr Philip Ciantar on Maltese Għana, Fiorella Camilleri on Nasori, and Dr Petra Caruana Dingli on creative thinking and Innovation. Mr Joe Camilleri will be launching and presenting a new technological device which will be used to film the project in Virtual Reality.

Japanese and Maltese drinks and canapés will be served during a post performance talk.

Event will take place on Saturday 6th May at the Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu.

Time: 19:30hrs (the Inquisitor’s Palace will be open to the public at 18:00hrs)

TICKETS: Three options available; seatedcushions, and standing. Seated tickets at €15 (Heritage Malta membership card holders at €13), cushions at €5, and standing at €3. Tickets available from all Heritage Malta museums/sites & ONLINE
